- The Basics: Pickup your Hunt Contracts from Magister Astalor Bloodsworn 🧙♂️ in Murder Row, Silvermoon. Collect “Anguish” throughout the new zones by completing World Quests, disarming traps, and slaying Rares. ☠️
- Normal & Hard Mode (Group Play): 🤝 Ideal for SA guild runs! As a duo (e.g., Blood DK + Disc Priest), you can absolute steamroll through ‘Hard’ difficulty hunts.
- Nightmare Mode (The Solo Test): 🔥 Available starting March 18th (requires Renown Rank 4 with the Preyseekers). This is a STRICTLY SOLO endeavor. No outside help, no groups allowed. 🛑
- Loot: This is your primary source for Champion-track gear (ilvl 246-256) outside of raiding and high M+. 💎
II. Delves: Your Solo Path to Hero-Level Loot 🚪🏃♂️
Delves have evolved significantly in Midnight. Forget the low Tiers; we are looking at high-stakes exploration for the best rewards. 🧭
- Location Hotspots: The Shadow Enclave and Dusk Whisper Crypt 👻 in Eversong Woods are currently your go-to spots for efficiency.
- The Strategy for March 18th:
- HOARD YOUR KEYS: Do NOT use your Restored Coffer Keys before the 18th. 🗝️❌
- Tier 8+: As soon as Season 1 starts, the Tier cap is removed. Tier 8 Delves will drop Champion gear from Bountiful chests and, with a Delver’s Bounty Map, can even award Hero-track gear! 🏆
- Vault Filling: Complete 8 total Delves or Prey hunts per week to maximize your Vault choices. vault
III. Currency & Upgrades: Dawncrests ☀️🪙
Valorstones are a thing of the past. In 2026, everything revolves around Dawncrests.

Slayer Tip: 💡 The weekly cap on Veteran Dawncrests is currently your biggest enemy. Ensure you hit your cap of 200 Veteran Crests before the 18th so you can immediately upgrade any new gear to ilvl 243+ when Season 1 starts.

As a Gnome specialized in Bits and Bots, you are the backbone of the SA economy and our combat efficiency. 🤖
- Recycling is King: ♻️ Use the new Recycling tinker on grey items from Prey hunts and old “Song Gear” from Delves to obtain rare components like Evercore or Aetherlume. These are essential for the most powerful Engineering gadgets.
- M3DDY & Combat Gadgets: 🛠️ Craft the M3DDY robot for rapid wipe recovery in dungeons (saves time on runs!). Equip Goggles and Bracers with unique Tinker Sockets for essential combat utility like personal invisibility or battle rez.
- Mining Profit: 💰 Mine every node of Refulgent Copper and Midnight Iron you see. Prices will skyrocket on the 18th as everyone seeks to craft or improve their new raid loot.
V. Timeline to the Top: The March 18th Shift ⏳
- NOW (Pre-season Phase): 🎯 Reach ilvl 230+ through Heroic Dungeons, Hard Prey, and Tier 4 Delves. Cap your 200 Veteran Dawncrests. 🧢
- MARCH 18th (Season 1 Starts): 🚀
- Dive immediately into LFR Wing 1 for your first Tier Set tokens. (Set bonuses are often a 10-15% throughput increase!).
- Start your Nightmare Prey solo hunts for guaranteed Champion gear. 🩸
- Push Tier 8+ Delves and cash in those hoarded keys. 🗝️
- MARCH 24th: Mythic+ Opens. Use your newly powered-up gear to step directly into +2 to +5 keys. ⏱️
Your Next Step:
Ensure you achieve Renown Rank 4 with the Preyseekers faction in Silvermoon. If you are not Rank 4 by the 18th, you cannot access Nightmare difficulty Prey hunts and will miss crucial Champion gear drops!
